At the time of writing we are (almost) ready for our Sahara Trek and we fly out next week. Hopefully by the time you read this we will have re-turned, without blisters, and many great tales to tell.
Our preparations have gone well, despite Mum’s knee injury from the Great North Run (completed with her brother and cousin in a respectable time for old folk!) Weekly physio and lots of walking along the beaches of Northumberland, hills of Scotland and Brackenhurst and sandy Southwell racecourse, seem to have paid off and we are good to go!
Huge thanks to the many, many of you that have sponsored us and sup-ported our fundraising. Special thanks to Jane and Sally of MixMix in Southwell, Semina at Tonic at Thurgarton, the Co-op at Southwell, Waitrose at Newark, Dr Stephen Bates and Brake Bros for the kind do-nations made to us. (And to Granny and Grandpa coming from Scotland to look after Dad and my sister!)
Our total is well over £2000 as we prepare to leave and it’s been really cool watching our giving site total mount up!
It’s not too late to add to our total if you feel able. Beaumond House, our local and amazing hospice, will get every penny. Our webpage is btmydo-nate/fundraisers/sarahhall1 or we even have the old fashioned way….. A paper sponsor form!
Many thanks to you all and warmest wishes
